NOIR AT THE BAR RETURNS! SUNDAY AUGUST 2ND!

It's the return of Peter Rozovsky's Noir at the Bar!
Delmar Restaurant & Lounge

(314) 725-6565
6235 Delmar BlvdSaint Louis, MO 63130
Doors open at 8 PM on Sunday August 2nd. Reading will be me, reading from my "Uncage Me" story, followed by Malachi Stone reading from his novel "St. Agnes's Eve," followed by Jedidiah Ayres reading one of his short stories, followed by the evening's headliner, Chicago's Theresa Schwegel, reading from her new novel "Last Known Address."
If you're not familiar with Schwegel's work you should be. She writes the best cop novels since Richard Price.
Be there or be square. I will repost this the day before.

Noir at the Bar is Tonight!

That's right, and the above badly taxidermied Pan troglodytes will likely be there. It's at the Delmar Lounge, 6235 Delmar Blvd., Saint Louis, MO 63130 starting at eight o'clock. Yours truly will be reading along with Frank Bill of Indiana, Jedidiah Ayres of St. Louis, and the headliner of course is Anthony Neil Smith of Marshall, MN, reading from the brutal "Hogdoggin.'"

Noir at the Bar 2--the Anthology!
There's a trailer for the second Noir at the Bar anthology, edited by Jedidiah Ayres and, nominally, by me. Featuring a whole bunch of terrific writers and filthy stories!
Unfortunately Blogspot won't let me upload the video itself for reasons I don't quite understand. The music is by Modern Silent Cinema, also known as Cullen Gallagher! Here's the cover by Erik Lundy:
And it's available at Subterranean Books at 6275Delmar in St. Louis MO, or from the link below:

A WHATload?
My friend Jedidiah "Noir Bar" Ayres has just released a very dirty book of short stories entitled A Fuckload of Shorts, or to please the prudes who police American bookstore shelves looking for msut and foul language, A F*ckload of Shorts.
There's necrophilia and murder and all kinds of wrong types of intercourse, social and sexual, in this here collection, for which I penned a rather excellent introduction. Two of the stories have been adapted into films, including "Viscosity" and "A Fuckload of Scotch Tape," which is every bit as brilliant as its title, which is my favorite short story title ever. You can get the book here:
If you don't buy it, you won't be "In the Know" like the cool kids on the playground who smoke and swear!

Noir at the Bar in Retrospect
It's been a few nights since we fucked St. Louis the hell up with the first local installment of Peter Rozovsky's amazing Noir at the Bar, held at the Delmar Restaurant and Lounge. It was a gas, if I may be so bold, and now I have permission to post a pic taken by Don Ross, who kindly drove Frank Bill four (that's s FOUR [4]) hours from Indiana and then back again. Thanks to all who attended, but thanks especially to Kelly, the owner of Subterranean Books (see link at right, buy books from her, please) and the multitalented Augustino Patti, musician and technical director for Noir at the Bar. A good time was had by all. Left to right: Jedidiah Ayres, me,Anthony Neil Smith, Frank Bill . Incidentally, if you haven't heard of Frank Bill, you are going to. You may not be happy about it, but you will be hearing from him......
